Welcome to the website of JADRANKAMEN d.o.o., a renowned company for exploitation, processing, sale and installation of architectural and building stone.
We are located in Pučišća on the island of Brač, and our rich history rests on the centuries-old Brač tradition of stone processing and the first stonemason’s cooperatives that were founded at the beginning of the 20th century. Over the decades, we have developed and modernized, becoming one of the leading stone producers in Croatia. JADRANKAMEN d.o.o.today it exploits stone from quarries on Brač and the mainland and processes it in two factory locations. Our expertise in stonework, fine architecture and restoration of historical buildings makes us recognizable on the market.
Despite the challenges we faced, we managed to maintain our position as one of the largest island companies in Croatia, and our commitment to quality and tradition allowed us to remain one of the leaders in the stone industry in Croatia.

History
Our history is inextricably linked to the island of Brač and the tradition of stone extraction and processing.
- 1902. The first stonemason’s cooperative was founded in Pučišća.
- In 1905, a stonemason’s cooperative was founded in Selca.
- In 1928, a modern electric factory was put into operation in Selca.
- 1947 Foundation of the company called Brač Adriatic stone industry, the company employed 312 workers.
- 1949. Change of name to Adriatic stone industry.
- 1953. Renovated sawmill Luka in Pučišća.
- 1954. The use of the name Jadrankamen begins.
- 1958. Expanded factory Luka; a modern stonework workshop was built.
- 1962. Change of name to Adriatic Stone and Marble Industry, abbreviated as Jadrankamen.
- 1963. Beginning of application of deep blasting.
- 1964 Recorded the largest number of workers (993).
- 1993. Privatization and conversion into a joint-stock company.
- 2021. Arrival of a new owner, new management appointed.
- Today Jadrankamen exploits stone from Brac quarries: Pučišća (Veselje, Punta, Kupinovo, Sivac, Barbakan), Milovica, Dragonjik, Zečevo and the Dolit quarry on the mainland. The stone is processed in two factory and used in sculpture, fine architecture and restoration of historical buildings. Jadrankamen has various technology for stone processing, which achieves top quality of the final product: gangsaw, block cutters, wire saws, lines for polishing, bush hammering, resining, automatic bridge saw, lines for processing edges and stonework for various manual processing.
